Back by Popular Demand - our Family Harvest Fair will be held on the front lawn of Seaford High School.
This year’s Fair will be even bigger and better. You will, of course, be able to buy all of the Pumpkins and beautiful fall Mums to make your home holiday festive! There will be hay bales and cornstalks and scarecrows as well.
Our Food Tent will be expanded so come and have lunch with us. You can enjoy homemade chowder, hot dogs, soda, popcorn, dessert and more.
The Baked Goods Tables will be stocked with delicious and tempting items to eat as you walk or to take home to savor later.
Come to the Seaford Fire Dept. demonstration of fire safety and home evacuation. The kids can experience firsthand with the E.D.I.T.H. house what it takes to escape in a case of fire or smoke. Learn these life saving techniques.
There will be something for everyone:
The Magic of Jim McClellehan will “WOW” AT 12:30.
Our High School Jazz Band and the Jazz Chorale will entertain in the afternoon.
For the Kids there will be games, face painting, pumpkin painting and prizes to win.
And we know the MoonBounce will be a hit with the kids, as well!!
Local Craft Vendors will showcase their wares.
If you have been to our Fairs before, you know that a visit guarantees a great day! For those who haven’t joined us before, come and find out what you have been missing! We promise you won’t be disappointed!
Mark your calendars for Sunday Sept. 26th from 11 AM - 4 PM — front lawn of Seaford High School, 1575 Seamans Neck Rd., about 1/2 mile north of Sunrise Highway.
We’ll be there - Rain or Shine. This is the biggest fundraiser of the year to help with the restoration and refurbishing of the Seaford Museum, enabling us to provide educational programs for Seaford’s children, informative events for our residents and a focal point for our community organizations and events.
The Sept. General Meeting of the Seaford Historical Society will be on Thurs. the 9th at the Seaford Museum located on Waverly Ave. between Jackson and Southard Aves. at 7:30 PM.
The evening’s program will feature a powerpoint presentation by Betsy Gulotta, a Professor of Biology at Nassau Community College and the Conservation Project Manager for the Friends of the Hempstead Plains.
The “Past, Present and Future of the Hempstead Plains” is an interesting, informative and often surprising look at a major area of our Township that is sometimes overlooked or forgotten.
Please join us on Thurs. Sept. 9th at 7:30 PM and experience our Museum.
The meeting is open to all and refreshments will be served.
