The Seaford Historical Society is currently in the process of raising funds to repair, restore and paint the exterior of the Museum building. $25,000 needs to be raised. Through the efforts of State Senator Charles Fuschillo and State Assemblyman David McDonough $8,000 in grants has been set aside for the Museum, but will take time to process and receive.

After the first goal is reached, for the full repair and restoration work a total of about $450,000 will need to be raised in increments as each project area is undertaken. Some of the items on the list for much needed work are the electrical system, heating system, plumbing and restrooms, and eventually a sprinkler system.

Any and all donations are appreciated and desperately needed. Donations are tax deductible. If you company matches donated funds, please request them. Also – donations of volunteer time and materials are gladly accepted. Of course, donations of an historical nature are welcome and encouraged.

Much is needed to save and reopen this Landmark Status Schoolhouse. We need people to join the Society. Become members and work with us on this important community project.
